Cnooc greenlight for Shenzhen LNG terminal

 

Beijing: China National Offshore Oil Corp has won approval from the National Development and Reform Commission to begin construction of a liquefied natural gas project in Shenzhen, the NDRC said Monday.

The project, known as the Diefu terminal, will be able to receive 4m metric tons of LNG a year. It will include four storage tanks each capable of holding 160,000 cubic meters and supporting gasification facilities, NDRC said on its website.

Cnooc's project will also include a berth that can receive tankers capable of transporting between 80,000 cu m and 266,000 cu m of LNG.  [31/07/12]
