Dalian: The first CNPC built jack-up rig CP-300 was put into operation this week at the new Panjin port, Liaoning province.
The CP-300 jack-up is independently designed and built by CNPC Bohai Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd, and is suitable for shallow water exploration and production, with maximum operating water depth of 91.44 meters and nominal drilling depth of 9,000 meters.
In addition, the more advanced CP-400 which is also designed and manufactured by CNPC Bohai Equipment Manufacturing has passed verification of classification societies in China, USA and Norway, and will be added into CNPC’s product line-up shortly.[26/09/12]
