Coastal Contracts sells three OSVs and other vessels for $44m

Malaysia’s Coastal Contracts has sold three of its offshore support vessels (OSVs) and five low-end vessels to unnamed buyers for a combined price of RM185m ($44m).

No further details about the deal or vessels were disclosed.

Including this sale, Coastal Group says it has about RM1.2bn ($285.8m) in cumulative sales orders awaiting delivery to customers up to 2017.

In July 2015, the Bursa-listed company sold two OSVs and six low-end vessels to unnamed buyers for a combined RM 130m ($34m). It also sold a jack-up drilling rig to “a reputable oil company” in April last year for around RM807m ($223.5m).
