Cobelfret in for Korean LNG-ready roros

Broking reports show that European owner Cobelfret has gone to South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo for a pair of 8,000 unit roro vessels. The ships, which will deliver in 2017, are LNG-ready ships. The order is part of a 12-ship roro fleet revamp.

Cobelfret’s roro fleet operates mainly in northern Europe, which this year has become an emissions control area (ECA) hence the decision to switch fuel to LNG.

As well as roros Cobelfret has a dry bulk business and a series of terminals.
