Confusion surrounds SwissMarine link to modern Japanese panamax

Sale records Splash has access to report that the large scale operator, Geneva-headquartered SwissMarine, has just snapped up the 2012-built panamax  Vivace for some $13m from Libera Shipping of Japan.

This would be a significant move as the bulker mammoth has stayed quiet for some years in the secondhand market.

However, well-placed sources insist that the report wrongly links the Geneva capesize owner, and the real buyer is SwissMarine of Greece who have four similar sized bulkers as Vivace  in the water in addition to newbuildings .
