ConocoPhillips charters COSL Drilling accommodation rig in North Sea

ConocoPhillips has chartered COSL Drilling Europe’s accommodation rig  COSLRival for a firm four months from late April at ConocoPhillips’ Judy platform, located in offshore north-east England.

The contract includes a two-month extension option but its value was not disclosed.

COSLRival is currently providing living quarters for workers at ConocoPhillips’ Britannia platform, 130 miles north-east of Aberdeen in Scotland, until the end of its current contract on February 29.

The rig will then be mobilised to Kristiansand in Norway, where it will remain until the start of the new contract.

COSLRival has been chartered to ConocoPhillips on and off since 2007 at projects in offshore Norway and on the UK Continental Shelf.
