Dalian: Cosco Dalian Shipyard has scooped another jack-up rig. Derwent Ocean, part of Foresight Group, is paying $184m for a rig based on the LeTourneau Super 116E class design.
The rig will be built to ABS classification, with notation A1, and will be a self elevating drilling unit capable of drilling HPHT wells.
The rig is scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2016. [09/05/14]
