Cosco Shipping Singapore appoint new chairman

Cosco Shipping International Singapore has announced the appointment of Zhu Jiandong as chairman of the board, replacing Gu Jinsong, who has been transferred to Cosco Shipping Bulk as managing director.

The company said the move is part of Cosco Group’s policy to rotate key management talent amongst its business units.

Zhu has served various positions within Cosco Group, including deputy managing director of Cosco Shipping Lines and Vice president of Cosco Shipping Southeast Asia and director of OOCL.

Cosco Shipping Singapore is Cosco Group’s Singapore-listed investment unit. After a series of internal business restructuring of Cosco Shipping Group, Cosco Shipping Singapore is now developing into an integrated logistics management service providers serving South and Southeast Asia, following the 100% acquisition of Cogent Holdings and 40% acquisition of PT. Ocean Global Shipping.
