Guangzhou: COSCO Xiamen has signed shipbuilding contracts with Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding for the construction of five 38,300dwt general cargo ships.
COSCO Xiamen said the company is taking the opportunity of China's new shipbreaking policy to optimize the fleet, with the new ships to be deployed on shipping routes from the Far East to Central and South America.
Deliveries will start from the end of 2015. [24/04/14]
