COSL secures drilling contracts in Indonesia

China Oilfiled Services Limited (COSL), the offshore service unit of energy giant CNOOC, has secured two drilling contracts in Indonesia.

The company has been awarded a contract by Husky-CNOOC Madura to drill seven wells with two operational wells at MBA-MD and MDK fields off Indonesia.

COSL will deploy its jackup rig Hai Yang Shi You 943 in September for the drilling operations.

Additionally, COSL has secured a contract from Indonedian company Medco Energi International for its jackup rig COSLBoss to drill one well. The contract is for a period of one month commencing early September.
