COSL secures jackup contracts from Aramco

China Oilfield Services (COSL), the offshore oil and gas service unit of state run energy giant CNOOC, has been awarded contracts by Saudi Aramco for the hire of two jackup rigs.

The two rigs, COSL Strike and COSL Gift, have each been fixed to Saudi Aramco under a five-year charter contract with an option for a two-year extension.

COSL Strike and COSL Gift will commence operations for Saudi Aramco in October and November respectively.

COSL currently operates a fleet of 29 jackup rigs and 7 semi-submersible drilling rigs.
