Costa to boost Singapore presence

Singapore: With two big ships – Costa Victoria and Costa Atlantica – calling Singapore home in 2012 and 2013 respectively the Italian firm has announced it will partner with Changi Airport and the Singapore Tourism Board to try and develop passenger source markets out of the Lion Republic and boost the fly-cruise segment.

"Singapore is a unique world city, famous for its blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture. We are excited to have this Asian world-class partner on board," Gianni Onorato, president of Costa Cruises, told delegates attending Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific held at the new cruise terminal in Singapore. "We are committed to a long-term partnership, which will allow our companies to pursue our future growth in the cruise industry across the Asia region."  [18/09/12]
