Crawler crane topples into the sea at Auckland Port
A 20-tonne crawler crane toppled from Auckland’s Seaview Wharf yesterday and is currently submerged 12 meters under water. The crane’s driver was able to escape the accident unharmed.
Authorities at the New Zealand port are now working out how best to salvage the crane, which was conducting fender maintenance at the time of the accident. An investigation into the incident is now underway.
