Another creditor files for THHE Fabricators to be wound up

A third creditor has filed a petition with the Kuala Lumpur High Court of Malaya to wind up THHE Fabricators, which provides fabrication of offshore oil and gas structures and is part of Malaysia’s TH Heavy Engineering.

Process and pipeline service provider Eftech International has filed a claim for RM 1,812,316 ($447,165) against THHE Fabricators. The claim relates to an earlier court order.

Another creditor, Bicara Sepakat, filed a winding-up petition and claim for RM 960, 877.98 ($236,786) with the High Court on July 26. The claim relates to THHE Fabricators’ provision of piping fabrication, installation, hydrotest and reinstatement works.

On the same day, Nusapetro filed another petition against the fabrication company with a claim for RM 1,605,285 ($395,834) related to the supply of API610 centrifugal pumps package for the Nusapetro’s FPSO Layang project.

TH Heavy Engineering has said it has sought legal advice in order to defeat the petitions.

In April, THHE Fabricators was barred from participating in Petronas Carigali’s future tenders for two years due to “performance-related issues” with its work at the Kinabalu natural gas project, for which the company is the procurement, construction and commissioning contractor.
