CSBC contracts four semi-submersible vessels
Taipei: Taiwanese state-owned shipbuilding company, CSBC, has won a contract to build four 65,000dwt semi-submersible vessels from Greenland Petroleum, according to Chen, Lie-Lin, president of CSBC.
The four vessels are scheduled for delivery during the first three quarters of 2017.
While the price of the contract can not be revealed, the deal will be profitable to the company, Chen said, who also added that the company is eyeing a move into building vessels supporting the offshore wind power industry. [08/10/14]
