Taipei: CSBC Corporation has signed shipbuilding contracts with local oil company CPC for the construction of two 40,000dwt product tankers.
The two vessels will be delivered to CPC by the end of 2016.
CPC said the order is part of its fleet optimization plan and it currently has five oil barges under design. It expects to lower the average fleet age from the current 20 years to 15 years by 2018. [24/06/14]
