Hong Kong: CSSC Hong Kong Shipping Leasing, the ship owning arm of the Chinese state-owned shipbuilding company CSSC, has ordered five 208,000 dwt bulk carriers at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding with options for five more, backed by bareboat charters from Oceanbulk Maritime of Greece.
The five bulkers will be financed by Export & Import Bank of China (Exim), and are to be chartered to Greek company Ocean Bulk.
On top of the five bulkers, CSSC Shipping also ordered two jack-ups at the same yard at the same time. No owner has been linked with these jack-ups.[27/01/14]
