Customs streamlined at top ports

Beijing: China is moving to make customs at its top ports more efficient. Administrative procedures on inspections and quarantines will be simplified in the country's top seven ports making greater use of online platforms to speed up exports.

In a bid to boost trade all inspections and quarantines during customs clearance will be free in all Chinese ports from October to December. From January 2013 these costs will be lowered from their current levels.  [17/09/12]
