Dalian: The northeast Chinese port city, Dalian, is to promote the development of shipping finance, especially shipping insurance, according to a document released by Dalian municipal government
The authority will support the local port operator, Dalian Port to set up a shipping insurance company, and encourage local industry players to develop new shipping-related insurance services.
Meanwhile, the city is also planning to provide tax reduction benefits to insurance organizations. The city is trying to position itself as a shipping hub for Northeast Asia. [24/01/14]
