Luxembourg: Italian shipowner d'Amico International Shipping has announced that subsidiary, d'Amico Tankers, signed a newbuild contract for four 39,000 dwt product chemical tanker vessels to be built at the Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard in Vietnam.
The contract value is $126m, include an option to upgrade the vessels to ice class IB at an extra cost of $963,000 per vessel, and delivery is expected starting November 2015.
