D’Amico sells its oldest bulker to Grand Ocean Shipping

Dublin-based d’Amico Dry, part of the Italian group d’Amico Società di Navigazione, has sold the oldest vessel in its fleet to Chinese company Grand Ocean Shipping.

The confirmation comes directly from d’Amico headquarter in Rome. “We confirm the sale of the Medi Vitoria to Chinese buyers for a price of roughly $8m. No more details can be disclosed,” a spokesperson said.

The Medi Vitoria is the fifth bulker sold by the Italian shipping group in the last six months, however earlier this year d’Amico took the full control of four supramax bulk carriers owned by dACC Maritime, a joint venture with Coeclerici which has now ended.
