DeepOcean wins five-year BG Group deal

Oslo: Subsea specialist DeepOcean has announced that is has been awarded an inspection, maintenance, and repair contract by BG Group.

The contract is for a period of five years and will utilise the company’s North Sea based fleet for all ROV based IMR work for BG Group on UK and Norwegian subsea assets.

Ottar Mæland, EVP Greater North Sea for DeepOcean, commented: “IMR is one of our main service lines and building upon our strong position in the Norwegian subsea market, we are successful in tailoring our IMR solutions to our Clients’ specifications and high expectations of cost efficient operations.

DeepOcean currently operates a fleet of 18 DPII ROV/survey, IMR and construction class vessels.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
