Brokers have news of a further sale as the clear-out of older tonnage at DHT Holdings continues apace. The DHT Ann, a 309,000 dwt, 16-year-old VLCC, has been sold to Indonesia’s Bumi for $21m, according to broking sources.

DHT has fended off two takeover offers from rival VLCC operator Frontline in recent weeks, and made much of its younger average of its VLCC fleet compared to its Norwegian rival.
