Diana capesize gets double the money on new Koch charter

Greek owner Diana Shipping has signed a new time charter contract with Koch Shipping for 2011-built capesize Seattle.

The new charter is for 4-6 months and commenced yesterday at a rate of $24,000 per day, more than double the rate of $11,700 per day Koch was previously paying for the vessel.

Diana says the deal is worth around $2.88m based on the minimum time charter period.
