Diana Containerships fixes panamax boxship to CMA CGM at improved rate

Greece’s Diana Containerships has entered into a time charter contract with CMA CGM for 2001-built panamax containership Domingo for a period of eight to eleven months.

The new charter, at gross charter rate of $8,500 per day, commences on September 15. The rate is substantially higher than the $6,000 per day currently being paid by Nile Dutch Africa Line.

The 3,739 teu vessel will generate around $2.04m of revenue for Diana Containerships based on the minimum time charter period.
