Diana Containerships fixes post-panamax charter to Wan Hai Lines

Greek owner Diana Containerships has entered into a time charter contract with the Singapore subsidiary of Taiwanese owner Wan Hai Lines for the charter of its 2008-built post-panamax container vessel, the Rotterdam.

The gross charter rate is $18,200 per day. The charter period is from up to April 15, 2019 to July 15, 2019. The charter will commence on July 13, 2018.

The 6,494 teu vessel is currently chartered at a gross charter rate of $13,150 per day.

The vessel employment is expected to generate approximately $4.95m of gross revenue for Diana Containerships.

This month, Diana Containerships has offloaded two post-panamax boxships, the 2009-built Hamburg and the 2006-built Puelo.

Following the completion of the sale, Diana Containerships’s fleet will consist of four container vessels made of two post-panamaxes and two panamaxes.
