Diana Containerships fixes post-panamax to OOCL

Diana Containerships has found work for 2004-built post-panamax container vessel Great, signing a time charter contract with Hong Kong’s OOCL.

The charter is for a period of nine to 12 months at a gross charter rate is $7,300 per day. The 5,576 teu vessel was previously employed in September 2015 on a six- to nine-month charter with Maersk at $14,750 per day, but has been out of action since.

Diana says the charter, which commences on April 8, will generate around $1.97m of revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
