Diana Shipping fixes bulker pair

Diana Shipping has fixed two of its bulkers on time charter, generating around $4.76m based on the minimum time charter periods.

2013-built kamsarmax Astarte has been fixed on a time charter contract with Glencore Agriculture for a period of 14-17 months at a rate of $9,000 per day. The charter commences on June 12.

Astarte, formerly named Seatrust, was acquired in April along with two post-panamax bulkers and delivered to Diana last week.

Phaethon International Company has taken 2004-built panamax bulker Erato on time charter for a around five months at a rate of $7,250 per day. The charter commences immediately.
