Diana Shipping fixes kamsarmax bulker to Glencore

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Agriculture for 82,193dwt kamsarmax bulker Maia.

The charter is for a period of 12-15 months and at a rate of $10,125 per day. The deal represents a significant increase on the previous charter rate of $7,500 per day with Germany’s RWE Supply & Trading.

Diana Shipping expects the deal to generate at least $3.65m of gross revenue over the minimum charter period.
