Diana Shipping fixes newly delivered ultramax to Engelhart

New York-listed Diana Shipping has chartered out its ultramax bulker DSI Aquarius to Engelhart CTP Freight, hot on the heels of the vessel’s delivery from Sea Trade Holdings.

The Greek owner has fixed the 2016-built ship, formerly known as STH Kure, through to between January 10, 2024, and March 25, 2024 at $14,200 per day. The charter is expected to commence on February 1, 2023.

The Semiramis Paliou-led owner of 42 bulkers on a fully delivered basis said the deal should bring in $4.81m of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Last week, the company sealed fixtures with Aquavita International and Cargill for the 2014-built panamax Atalandi and the 2010-built panamax Leto, respectively.
