Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has doubled its money with a new time charter contract for 2013-built panamax Ismene.
.Diana has chartered the vessel to DHL Project & Chartering in Hong Kong for a 12-15 month period at a gross charter rate of $12,000 per day, a substantial improvement on the $5,850 currently being paid by Glencore.
The vessel is expected to commence the new charter on September 16 and generate around $4.32m based on the minimum charter period.
