Diana Shipping fixes panamax to Phaethon

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has fixed 2005-built panamax bulker Clio to Phaethon International on time charter for a period of 13-16 months.

The charter, which commences July 3, is at a gross charter rate of $8,550 per day representing a substantial increase on the previous charter to Transgrain Shipping at just $5,350 per day.

Diana says the contract will generate around $3.33m based on the minimum time charter period.
