Diana Shipping gets charters for bulker pair

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into time charter contracts for two of its vessels.

2015-built capesize New Orleans heads off to Singapore-based Koch Shipping on a time charter contract. The twelve month charter is set to commence on December 10, and is at a gross charter rate of $11,250 per day.

Melite, a 2004-built panamax ship, has been contracted to Germany’s Uniper Global Commodities for a period of seven to ten months at a gross charter rate of $8,000 per day. The charter is set to commence on December 6.

Diana Shipping says it expects to generate around $5.73m of gross revenue from the charters based on the minimum schedule period of the charters.
