Diana Shipping kamsarmax charter extended by Glencore

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has extended the current time charter contract with Glencore for 2013-built kamsarmax bulker Astarte.

The new contract commenced this week and is for a period of 14-17 months at a gross rate of $14,250 per day. Previously, Glencore was paying $9,000 per day for the vessel.

Diana Shipping says the extension will generate around $5.99m of gross revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
