Diana Shipping panamax goes on charter to Phaethon

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Phaethon International Company for 2006-built panamax bulker Naias.

The charter is for 15 to 18 months and commences on November 24 at a rate of $10,000 per day. The vessel was previously chartered to Glencore at $7,500 per day.

Diana Shipping says the contract will generate around $4.35m based on the minimum scheduled time charter period.
