Diana Shipping post-panamax extended by Cargill

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has agreed an extension with Cargill to the time charter contract for 2012-built post-panamax bulker Polymnia.

The extension commences July 8 and is for 14-17 months at a rate of $16,000 per day, up from the $10,000 per day previously being paid by Cargill.

Diana says the extension will generate around $6.72m based on the minimum charter period.
