Diana Shipping secures contract extension from Uniper

Greek dry bulk vessel owner Diana Shipping has entered into a new time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities for its 2013-built post-panamax bulker Phaidra.

The 87,146 dwt vessel has been chartered to Uniper since January last year and the latest contract will see the vessel to be employed for another 14-16 months at a gross charter rate of $10,800 per day commencing from April 11.

Diana Shipping anticipate the contract will generate approximately $4.37m of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping’s fleet currently consists of 46 dry bulk vessels.
