Diana seals time charters for pair of capesizes

Diana Shipping has entered into two separate time charter agreements for capsize vessels Santa Barbara and Salt Lake City.

2015-built Santa Barbara has been contracted to Cargill International for a period of 12-15 months at a rate of $12,000 per day. The charter is expected to commence on January 24.

Meanwhile, the 2005-built Salt Lake City has been chartered to Uniper Global Commodities in Germany for a period of 12-16 months at a rate of $9,000 per day. The contract is scheduled to commence on January 20.

Diana Shipping says the contracts will generate around $7.38m based on the minimum time charter period.
