Disputed contract for BW Offshore FPSO terminated

Having won an arbitration award in March over a dispute regarding contract rates, BW Offshore has now had its contract for FPSO Sendje Berge terminated by Addax Petroleum Exploration Nigeria.

The Sendje Berge FPSO has been operating offshore Nigeria since March 2005. Addax has now terminated the contract from November 6, and requested a demobilisation plan.

BW said it plans to continue the process of enforcing the arbitration award, which is worth $61.8m.
