Djakarta Lloyd snaps up GoodBulk supramax

Indonesia’s Djakarta Lloyd has been named by brokers as the buyer of GoodBulk’s 2007-built supramax bulker Aquakula.

John Michael Radziwill-led GoodBulk announced the sale of the Oshima-built vessel earlier this month in its second quarter results. The company received $12.1m for the vessel, which was delivered to the new owners on August 1.

Both Seasure Shipbroking and Advanced Shipping & Trading are now reporting the buyer as Djakarta Lloyd. The sale doubles the size of the Indonesian company’s fleet, the other vessel another Oshima-built supramax Dharma Lautan Intan.

The sale leaves GoodBulk with 25 capesize bulkers and a single panamax.
