Dalian: Dalian Maritime University (DMU) has launched its new World Maritime Research Center yesterday.
The center consists of eight institutes which will be dedicated to the research of ocean strategy, shipping economy, port development, cruise and yacht, shipping law, offshore platforms, shipping risks, and marine culture.
DMU said the mid-term goal is to develop the center into a major public service platform and talent training base for the shipping industry in China and become an important think tank for the national ocean strategy. [19/03/14]
