DOF awarded AHTS contracts in New Zealand

Norwegian OSV operator DOF has been awarded two AHTS contracts to support drilling operations in New Zealand.

The 2011-built Skandi Emerald and 2012-built Skandi Atlantic have been contracted by OMV NZ for two wells, plus two one well on option, to support drilling rig COSL Prospector.

The two vessels are currently supporting the same rig with another operator in New Zealand, and this latest project with OMV will commence during the fourth quarter.

“I’m very happy with this new award in New Zealand, securing good backlog for these units into 2020,” said Mons Aase, CEO of DOF.
