DOF newbuild AHTS heads out on Petrobras charter

Oslo: Offshore specialist DOF has said today that its latest addition to the fleet, Skandi Angra (18,000 bhp, built 2015), has been delivered and gone out on an 8-year charter to Petrobras offshore Brazil.

The vessel, owned by Norskan Offshore, was built at Vard Niterói and is the second of three vessels on order from the same yard. All three have been committed to Petrobras on long term charter with the last remaining vessel, Skandi Paraty, scheduled for delivery early 2016.

DOF currently operates a fleet of 70 vessels and last week laid off 20 staff, primarily from its operations at Austevoll and Bergen in Norway.
