Doha: A progress report on the New Port project in Doha suggests things are on track for a smooth first phase launch in 2016 as planned. The QR27bn port will have a 2m teu initial first phase capacity when it launches in 2016.
By 2020, the whole 26 sq km project should be complete giving the port a 6m teu capacity, a significant addition to what is already looking like a crowded Middle East box scene. [16/11/14]
