Dolphin Drilling awarded Statoil semi-submersible extension

Fred. Olsen Energy subsidiary Dolphin Drilling has been awarded an extension by Statoil for semi-submersible rig Bideford Dolphin.

The rig is operating for Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and has been awarded a one well extension, with an option of an additional well available.

The extension is scheduled to commence by July 31, and is estimated to take 50 days at a contract value of around $8.6m.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
