Dolphin Drilling secures contract extension from i3 Energy

Offshore driller Dolphin Drilling has been awarded a two-month contract extension by i3 Energy for use of the Borgland Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig.

The rig will continue to support i3 Energy’s srilling campaign on the Liverator oilfield and the Serenity prospect in the UK part of North Sea.

Additionally, the two companies agreed to enter into a four-year strategic operations agreement to meet i3 Energy’s future rig demands.

“We are delighted to be able to offer i3 Energy the flexibility to use the Borgland Dolphin to complete its planned activity. We welcome the opportunity to develop a longer-term agreement with i3 Energy due to the excellent relationship we have built between each other so far, and we look forward to working together on further projects in the years ahead,” saidBjørnar Iversen, chief executive of Dolphin Drilling.
