Double contracts for SapuraKencana

 

Kuala Lumpur: SapuraKencana Petroleum’s subsidiary Allied Marine & Equipment has won a contract worth RM700m from Petronas Carigali for the provision of underwater services. 

The contract includes inspection, repair and maintenance services utilising specialised vessels, equipment and personnel covering Petronas Carigali's offshore oil and gas fields in the country. 

SapuraKencana said the duration of the contract is three and a half years effective from October 2012 until April 2016, with the option to extend an additional year. 

At the same time another subsidiary – Kencana HL – has won a contract from HESS Exploration and Production Malaysia worth RM135.8m. 

The contract is for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of Kamelia-A Wellhead Platform for early production system of the Integrated Gas Development Project. 

"The award comprises the provision of EPCC of a wellhead platform for Kamelia Field, which is part of the North Malay Basin, an area located 300 kilometres offshore Peninsular Malaysia," the group said, adding the project is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.  [02/11/12]
