DP World completes $316m deal to acquire Peru’s CAM

DP World, the Dubai-based global terminal operator, has closed its acquisition of Peruvian container and logistics giant Cosmos Agencia Maritima (CAM), according to the Associated Press.

The deal, valued at almost $316 million, was struck between DP World, which is majority owned by the government of Dubai, and Andino Investment Holding.

It will see DP World also acquire 100% of Triton Transports and Neptunia as well as a 50% stake in Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos, Peru’s second largest container terminal, which is in the port of Paita.

DP World already operates Peru’s largest container terminal, the facility at Callao (pictured).
