DP World turns to veteran chairman to take Sharaf’s place as CEO

Dubai terminal operator has opted to install its chairman as its next permanent ceo. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman of the global ports giant since 2007, takes over from Mohammed Sharaf who retired at the end of Janaury after 23 years with the group.

“I look forward to taking on the additional responsibilities of group ceo with the objective of continuing to implement our global strategy to enable global trade and drive sustained long-term value for shareholders,” bin Sulayem said in a statement.
