Dredger arrested in Singapore over payment dispute

Singapore: A 3,400-gt trailing split-hopper suction dredger operated by Malaysia-based operator Inai Kiara has been arrested in Singapore after a payment claim was filed against the ship.

Singapore-based shipping service provider QSA Marine & Logistics has filed a S$884,000 claim against the ship, the Inai Lavender (pictured), in the High Court of Singapore.

Reports say the payment claim is for drydocking services rendered to the vessel in Singapore. [30/12/14]
